Here you go guys, one of the most widely used rider feedback features of the Gen 2 Max is the rearview mirrors. Most every vehicle you encounter on the road is going to end up as an image in your rear view. Since “Star” built us this completely new hotrod we would have expected every component to be upgraded. Well, it looks like Wang Chung over in the mirror division didn’t get the memo that Yamaha was building a new bike. Yep, same mirrors that they have used since 1985 except for a slightly different stalk. Here’s the answer. UFO is using the high-end CRG mirrors borrowed from the sportbike world. The ones we chose also have an elbow feature which allows you to fold them in if necessary, say for instance when your bike is parked in close quarters. These mirrors retail @ $89.95 ea. and are not a direct bolt on with the stock Vmax bar-ends. UFO has an exclusive patent pending bar-end that uses the stock bolt and beautifully captures the mirror bracket from both spinning on the bar end or worst yet falling off. As you snug down the exclusive UFO two piece “flying Saucer” bar ends the mirror base has pressure applied from both faces keeping it just where you have adjusted it to. These bar ends are anodized to match both bike and mirror with an unparalleled look. This is like buying mirrors and getting the bar-ends for free.
