120+ HP Club

The 120+ rear wheel horsepower club was formed to provide a chance for Maxers around the world to showcase their high horsepower stock internal V-Max’s. It is for fun and entertainment but it does show that good numbers are possible with the right pipe/carb combination and attention to tuning. Yes, it’s questionable to compare numbers from different Dyno’s and correction factors adjust the results…but hey, remember the fun and entertainment part?

NEW – UFO Performance Products will be showing the dyno charts for the top ten HP makers.  Do you have what it takes to make the top ten?

#1 Jon Cornell 140.9++Jon Cornell of UFO Performance Cycles obviously has the magic touch of getting high hp out of the Vmax. He was the first to break 135 rwhp. At the 2001 Daytona Dyno shoot-out he was top in his class. Not resting on his laurels, and back at home, he has done it again...posting an incredible 140.9 rwhp. In addition to a Kerker 4-2-1, special baffle and ignition, his bike has a VGAS flatslide set-up with tuned stacks. #2 Kyle Holsclaw 140.4++Kyle has an 88 Max with V-Gas carbs and a UFO exhaust. This combination has resulted in a lot of horsepower for a lot of bikes. Check out the close to 90 ft lbs of torque!!!#3 Rick A Shifley 139.1++Rick's 1985 VMAX (1) is equipped with VGAS and Dynomax exhaust, tuned by Jon Cornell of UFO Performance Products. It was stock at 108.6 rwhp, after these additions he increased his rwhp to an amazing 139.1 #4 Bent Bones Olsen 138++The bike is tuned by Dr.Vmax: Roar Aas of SpeedDynoshop in Norway. And the owner is Bent Bones Olsen from Narvik in the Northern-Norway. It is so far north that the sun shines all night in the summertime, and give him plenty of time to run this awesome power plant. Dr. Aas has managed to get this much power by using a Sudco exhaust, Stage 7 and a chain conversion.#5 Wayne Pettipas 137.2++Wayne Pettipas has another strong runner tuned by UFO Performance Cycles. His Max has a set of V-Gas carbs and UFO 4-2 exhaust.#6 Scott Allison 135.6++Scott's bike has a UFO 4/2 exhaust with custom cans made to his specifications, (cosmetic changes only), and Vgas which was tuned by Jon Cornell of UFO Performance Products. Scott cannot say enough about Jon Cornell and the professionalism at UFO. Scott describes the exhaust system as: #7 Rick Leedberg 135.4++#8 Dave Spyridon 134.5++#9 Dan Arm 134.1++#10 Steve Stancombe 133.7++
