UFO Vmax VGAS™ Carburetion

One of our premier products is the patented VGAS™ carburetor system for the Yamaha Vmax. This UFO exclusive product is Dyno proven as the best cool, clean air carburetion system for the Vmax. Look at the Dyno charts numbers! Over 140 hp and 90 ft/lbs of torque with an unparalleled 17 hp gain in the midrange.
Features:

* 39mm Flatslide Carburetors
* Polished aluminum velocity stacks (Not blue plastic)
* Seamlessly cast and ported manifolds (No welds)
* Old school hot rod look with unparalleled hot rod performance.
* Velocity stacks line up and fill the curves in the scoops. (No empty holes under the scoops like something is missing!)

The VGAS™  carburetor system is sent out direct to the customer from UFO, where the carbs are prepared and tuned for your application. The VGAS™ carburetor system arrives ready to bolt-on, with little fine tuning required. The original carbs, manifolds and airbox are no longer required, as the VGAS™ comes complete with four custom designed, polished intake manifolds with Keihin 39mm flat slide carburetors. The entire setup is topped off with polished ram air stacks that have been tuned to make optimum horsepower and tire shredding torque. Each kit includes removable rain-shedding filtering bonnets and all the fittings (in stainless steel) necessary to complete the installation. In other words, EVERYTHING you need to do the job yourself, including step-by-step instructions. Fitting should take approximately 3 to 4 hours. Performance-wise VGAS™ is Dyno proven as the best cool, clean air carburetion system for the Yamaha Vmax.

Jon – thank you so much for instant email replies – man do you sleep?

It was a joy to remove all that factory intake clutter, I wonder how Yamaha jammed all that in the first place?

Installing the VGAS only took a few beers…ha ha… after that, Max looked thirsty or what! – love how every bit sits within proportion.
Gone for a quick squirt around the block – love the signature sound of them flat slides. The Velocity stacks hanging out there amplifies the music or what! At ¾ throttle – God dam what a difference..ha ha.. wheel spin and ripping me arms off! – Game Over man.

Jon – I’m sure God sent you here for one thing only – that is to create Max in his image.

  5. Roman says:

Jon I would like to thank you for looking after me so well before and after I purchased the flatslides for my Vmax. From the first time I contacted you, you where very helpful with information, price of shipping, method of transportation and answering my emails promptly. It has been a pleasure to deal with someone like yourself. Thank you again for such a great product and such good service.
    Roman.

  6. Roman says:

Well Jon the flatslides are on! The hardest part was removing the Vboost servo from under ignition module frame. Bike started up pretty
quick and idled perfectly straight out of the box did not have to adjust a thing. Just shows what a great setup you have. Pickup is great, have
not taken for a real spin yet as is raining here at the moment.

    Thanks again,
    Roman

  7. Brad Kiesman says:

Definitly 5 stars for UFO! My bike isn’t v gassed yet but before spring its gonna be. I dealt with Jon about my seat and other things including the many questions I’ve had about v gas and different exhaust systems and he was happy to take the time to explain every detail. (I just wish I wouldve discovered his help and advice before I went ahead with the cobra stage 1 kit and cobra slip ons. Big waste of money there!) UFO is the way to go

  8. Vgas installed
I have my Vgas installed. Easy to do. The difference in power is awsome. The set up is very smooth and road worthy. I have been romping on it 1st and 2nd and 3rd gear and still got 32MPG. The acceration is unreal. Pull my front tire off ground on just twist of the throttle. Jon Cornell was very good to deal with. Answered all my questions same day even gave me cell number to contact him. Oh yea the only time I get a heavy gas smell is when I have to chenge a gas filter at work!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  9. V-Gas! What can I say? I just went for a ride on my ’85 max yesterday because I was in need of a V-Gas fix. This carburetion system puts a smile on my face every time I ride it. When asking the wife if she would like to go for a ride, she always asks can we take the beast? (’85 bike with V-Gas). I think she likes how the V-Gas system completely assaults the midrange throwing her around a bit causing her to hang-on tight, or maybe it’s when we go to the local dinner while she watches the Harley guys take a look & wonder just how bad is that bike. I’ve have had this bike on 400+ mile trips with back to back 40MPG, I’ve hot-dogged this bike & gotten 30~33MPG, all with NO gas on my pants. As John Ganey from PCW once said “Jon Cornell @UFO hit a home run with this system”.

  10. Chris Wood says:

Jon, just a note to say, before I head off back to work, thanks for great products, got everything fitted, apart from rear light! haven’t figured that out yet, think “inner” mudguard I have – bought it second hand as had non standard rear mudguard on has been altered somewhat!
Never managed to start bike as have it in guest house and want to finish everything first without stinking the place out with Gasoline!
VGAS fitted without any major dramas, if i was a motorcycle mechanic i would have probably found the instructions adequate, but I am not – so struggled a little.
I think you are underselling yourself with this product, one of the things I love is getting rid of v-boost and the amount of space it creates!

    take care

    Chris
