UFO Back Rest

Here you go MaxHeads. FINALLY, no more fighting over the limited availability of finding used Yamaha factory backrests………and paying pirates money for them as well. The OEM backrests are nice however for us hotrod guys who don’t want the look of having a backrest on our bikes all the time, we were out of luck. No easy way to remove the bar when you aren’t riding two up .

THIS IS THE ANSWER! UFO IS TESTING THE MARKET AND HAS ONLY LIMITED QUANTITY AVAILABLE right now. Selling these beautiful chrome backrests with nice tufted pad to match. If the significant other or current squeeze or the ‘ol lady wants to go for a ride, you can slip this bar in place in about 20 minutes. Simply remove the two stock front mounting bolts from your stock handrail , unbolt the turnsignals from your existing handrail and unplug them. Hold the new backrest in place and line up the two front mounts with the stock handrail mounting holes. Slip the standoffs in between the handrail and the backrest holes, slip the new longer bolts we provide into place. Fasten your turnsignals with the two existing nuts. Plug your wires back in and secure the two newly provided mounting bolts. You even have a nice tidy little plate on the back if you want a place to mount additional lighting . DONE…………..

Go out for that two up ride you have been promising . Not the ‘ol ……”Next time”. After all guys we need to be able to close both eyes at night when we go to sleep , and we sure as hell don’t want to hear “next time” from them before lights out.

You can have this bar back off again in another 20 minutes and your weekend “Bike Night” hotrod is back looking the part again . Trolling for a race, instead of being the guy pulling in with this pissed-off sounding hotrod looking all cool and then more than one person points and goes “look at the “sissy’s bar”. No thanks . A hotrod bike should look like a hotrod bike and when you want to take someone for a nice cruise ……..you have that option to throw this bar on and not be married to the fricken permanent sissy bar look.

THE STOCK YAMAHA BARS HAVE BEEN EBAYING FOR AROUND $400.00 + . THE ONES WITH PARCEL SHELVES AVERAGE AROUND $700.00 !!!! JUST CRAZY MONEY . FOR MUCH LESS THAN HALF THE PRICE YOU CAN HAVE A DUAL FUNCTION, REMOVEABLE BAR !!!!

Time to get off the soap box. Man, I have been waiting for this answer for years. Now it is available to you . Thanks for your time and interest.

  2. Dear Jon,
I installed the back rest, very easy (even for me!!!!!), it looks really good.
It has rain all week end, I will try to get some pics soon.
I am not sure how easy/Difficult it is, but I think it would look nice if UFO was engraved
at the back of the back rest (were the 2 screws for the pad are)… What do you think?
Congratullationsssss on the turbo: 10.10 thats amazing, not talking about the top speed!!!
I am guessing that you should be able to get down 10s.
Enjoy what if left of the week end
Regards from Brisbane…. Monday back to work
    Laurent
