Our Story:
UFO Performance Products is a fabricating and service facility of street and racing motorcycles along with the research and development of their related performance products. Our focus is mainly directed toward engine building and tuning of drag racing motorcycles and in particular the Yamaha Vmax. We have created bikes such as our Yamaha Vmax, pictured here, which has been dynoed at an amazing 140+ horse power at the rear wheel! No other “stock internal” Vmax can make that claim!
Jon Cornell, founder of the company is a thermo mechanical engineer of Cleveland State University who started winning at dirt track racing as far back as 1971. In 1980, he was awarded his professional motorcycle drag racing license, which established the foundation for setting the world record on a supercharged/alcohol funny bike in the quarter and 1/8 mile which stood from 1981 to 1983.
Most recently, in 2009 Jon ran an amazing 8.87 at 156.82 MPH on a Gen 2 Vmax.

Jon has done a lot of improvements and upgrades on my 2004 VMAX and has always taken the time to answer any questions and to share his supreme knowledge of the VMAX. He worked in secret with my wife to give me the most memorable Christmas I have had. He just recently opened up his shop on a weekend with one day notice and fixed my second VMAX in a matter of minutes and all with a smile on his face. Jon is truly a character and treats people like family not just a nobody.

I am 54 years old and have been riding a max since 85.My latest max is a 09. I have had dealings with factory shops performance shops and back yard shops, and i am here to tell you jon cornell is the best i have ever delt with. I purchased a battlestar system, jon walked me through the install gave me all sorts of tips, not once did he not call me back and answer my questions. The battlestar exhaust performs like no other,sound, looks, performance, So if any one says any different they are lying or are dumb as a rock. Ihave taken offence at the things i have heard bashing jon,obviously someone is very jealous,if there were more people like jon out there the world would be a better place.So the only thing i have left to say is you want to go FAST talk to jon he will hook you up,he is the MAX.

When we left UFO Performance Products on that beautiful day last Saturday the first thing I did was thank my lovely wife Tammy for sacrificing part of her day so that we could visit with you. Here I just thought we were going to see a guy that offers comfortable custom V-Max seats while on the way to pick up my car at the airport. I thought it would be great as she would be able to try out the seat too and share her thoughts.
What a TREAT we were in for…
Your passion unfolded the moment we walked thru the doors. Words cannot express my gratitude or the out of this world experience we both had. Thank you for taking time away from your family on Saturday to meet up with us at UFO for what turned out to be VIP tour. Some who first see you might say, “Here is a guy stuck in the 70’s.” The Jon Cornell we met has been blessed with talent, skills, knowledge, expertise and vision far beyond his years. We met an artist with great passion and perfection running thru his veins. Deep rooted ethics and integrity surfaced immediately thru your character after only a few moments of conversation. The place is immaculate. We first witnessed excellence on a piece of polished aluminum used for a seat back rest. All the awards and plaques indicative of some of your accomplishments were quite impressive. As we went thru the rest of the place we saw polished perfection at the highest level every where we looked. Everything was in order down to the last folded shop cloth… I am still wondering if the place is dust free too. Each of the products you offer are in a league of there own and the Cornell Exhaust Pipes are a dream for any V-Max owner. I can still hear the deep roar of your pipes in my head. Simply put…There are Jon Cornell products and not even a close second. The website photos and sound clips as well as the magazine articles and photos simply do not do it justice.
It is always a pleasure for me to meet people in a field of expertise blessed with so much talent. Even better is when I discover people like you who take these gifts and run with it…in your case fly with it. You have taken a personal vision and have built an impressive business around it so that it can be shared with others. You truly are the best at what you do.
